Louis Durot is a French artist, sculptor, designer and chemist, born in Paris in 1939. Following his studies, Louis Durot became a chemical engineer.

He founded the Freelane Studio in 1964. Through this studio, Louis Durot met the painter François Arnal, who introduced him to the French sculptor César in 1966, for whom he worked as an assistant.
His work is related to the Pop aesthetic, borrowing the function of something and giving it another appearance.
It is thanks to his research in chemistry that he can give phantasmagorical forms to his sculptures, which he often describes as toys for adults.
I have been assisting Louis for a year in the creation and experimentation of new pieces and techniques.
